made available Hughes Air West tickets during
the pertinent period of NORJAK, and a review failed to
reflect any individual by the name R, MC COY, D. B. COOPER
or any similar name flying from Salt Lake City, Utah, to
Seattle, Washington, or Portland, Oregon, or from Portland
or Seattle to Salt Lake City. During this review, reviewing
personnel were instructed to pull any tickets with the
names COOPER or MC COY and none were located, the review
being conducted by Bureau Agents.
On April 13, 1972, Bureau Agents from the Minneapolis
Office contacted| Northwest Airlines, Minneapolis,
Minnesota, and provided the lift tickets for all flights
from Portland to Seattle and vice versa for the period of
November 10-24, 1971, and a review of these tickets for the
names RICHARD FLOYD MC COY, R. MC COY, D. COOPER, DAN COOPER
and T. JOHNSON were negative. [|__| stated that the lift
tickets that were reviewed were Tickets of on-line passengers,
who are those individuals making reservations through North-
west on Northwest flights, and tickets were not available for
review of those off~line passengers, which would entail approx-
imately 25 percent of Northwest passenger service.
The Las Vegas Division on April 18, 1972, advised
that all airline manifest that have flights to Portland from
Las Vegas are destroyed after 90 days and that Hughes Air
West, United Air Lines and Northwest Airlines provide service
between Las Vegas and Portland; however, there are no direct
flights and all are via Los Angeles, California, or San
Francisco, California,
On April 19, 1972, the Las Végas Division advised
the only Air Force base where military planes could land in
the Las Vegas areg is Nellis Air Force Base northeast of
Las Vegas, Nellis Air Force Base operations advised that
individuals who come in on military planes are not logged,
therefore, there is no way of knowing whether a particular
individual arrived in Las Vegas. Operations personnel
stated that individual names would be available at the point
of origin of the flight and would be centained on a passenger
manifest.
