He came aboerd in mid 1968 from an overseas assignuent. We become rather friendly although not: intimate. We worked together and fished together. I know that he was married for the second tine but know of nothing which would reflect upon him as far as his marriagos are concerned. His morals, character and habits appeared to be very good. He will take a rare beer or two but did not use intoxicants excessively or habitually. He was certainly a mature and stable individusl and enjoyed excellent health. ZX know nothing of his organizational affiliations. He is in my opinion a loyal Anericen. He handled this ob vory well;and had no problems other than the "routinet problems that and it's personnel. I would recommend him for any position with the Federal Government that he is qualified to fill. He then went to the cast coast ond I again met him in the fall of 1966 in Vietnam where wo were associated for several months. After Vietnam I had no contact with hin until he Gere aboard this station in mid 1968. I know him from that tine until he retired in October of 1970. ane ve did not have any great. social contact but I did know his first wife es well ss his current wife. He was divorced because he had a wife that kept him in constant debt. She was a most "miscrabic" person ond he is much better off without her and with his current wite{ —__fould say Ib6 Per BOC morals, cheracter and hsbits are very good.
