Guard Way, Reno, Nevada 89502, made available a
transcript of the taped radio conversations between
Reno Tower and Northwest Airlines, flight 305, which
had been hijacked while enroute from Portland, Oregon
and Seattle, Washington.
Mrs. |__| stated that all times appearing on 6 Per FAA
the transcript are Greenwich Mean Time and that this can 7 Per FAA
be converted to Pacific Standard Time by subtracting
eight hours, He also stated that the "31" referred to
in the conversation is the transponder code 3100"
indicating that the aircraft has been hijacked. The
Code Ll is a standard transponder code for an aircraft
on instruments. The C 130 referred to is an Air Rescue
. aircraft in the vicinity of the Northwest Airlines
aircraft.
