[jana advised that upon reading the newspaper
accounts of the hijacking, which took place in Sea
11-24-71, he recalled to mind an individual he hed

he returned to his office and checked his records whi
showed that an individual by the name of SD, OTH was
the individual he was thinking about who met the Aescrip-
tion of the hijacker as set out in the newspaper’ accounts.
He felt that it was particularly peculiar that the hijacker
had used the name D. B. COOPER and felt that the similar
initials in the name JAMES D. Homi b iqnificant.
He advised that Mr. BOOTH took
during the period 7/16-30/71. e avised Mr. ailed €6
pass the drivers test on 7-30-71 and was to return a week_later
to take another exam but did not appear. He stated that +-—!

Mr. BOOTH on six or seven occasions and that BOOTH had men-
tioned that he was a Marine Engineer nd kd worked his way up in
the Merchant Marines to that position. He stated his records
reflect that BOOTH was born 12-1-27, was 6' tali, 180 pounds,
straight black hair and a light complexion. He advised
that Mr. BOOTH was unmarried, appeared to be younger than his
age and gave an address of Box 489, Seattle, telephone
MA. 2-4851, which is the Moore Hotel, Second and Virginia.
BOOTH also mentioned that he had been shipwrecked at one time
and felt that he was a very mature and stable in-
dividual.
