ING AND SAID HE WAS D. B. COOPER AND WANTED TO MAKE A STATE-
“MENT. [_JfAPE RECORDED ENTIRE CONVERSATION, WHICH LASTED
LESS THAN SIXTY SECONDS, IN WHICH INDIVIDUAL ADVISED AFTER HE
PARACHUTED FROM THE AIRCRAFT, HE BROKE HIS ANKLE. HE WAS THE
TAKEN OUT OF THE AREA BY A FRIEND, IDENTIFIED ONLY AS AN EX-
VIETNAM HELICOPTER PELOT, IN A CESSNA ONE FIFTY AIRPLANE. HE
SAID HE HAD THE TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS AND WANTED TO
MAKE THIS STATEMENT FOR FBI'S BENEFIT. STATED WAS IN SEATTLE
BUT WILL BE MOVING FAST.
VOICE SOUNDED LIKE THAT OF A VERY YOUNG WHITE MALE,
POSSIBLY TWNTY TO TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OF AGE, WITH NO UNUSUAL
SPEECH CHARACTERISTICS. a“ 1897
