All investigation to identify unsub to date has
been negative.

On 11/24/76, a U.S. Grand Jury in Portland,
Oregon, returned an indictment charging unsub as JOHN DOE,
aka Dan Cooper, with violations of aircraft piracy and Hobbs
Act statutes.
formerly offered by the Seattle Post Intelligencer newspaper
was withdrawn as of 12/31/76. A manual search of the missing
persons indices at FBI Headquarters was conducted based on
the presumption that unsub may have parished during the jump
and a missing persons report may have been filed with the
Bond fixed at $500,000.
The $5,000 reward
Twenty-one possible suspects were developed as a result
of this search and they are currently being processed as
