Coretta King told Abernathy she would be embarrassed to participate in such an activity and acidly inquired why her opinion had not been 8 7 an prior to SCLC deciding upon such a course of action. A confidential source advised R Abernathy explained to Coretta and Reverend King, Sr., the idea of -the "moral court" was simply«one of several proposed activities which had recently been discussed by the SCLC staff to be held on or about April 4, 1969 in commemoration of the assassination of Reverend King, Jr. He said a firm decision on these proposals had not yet been reached with one exception.
