An article in the October 18, 1972, issue of the
Greenville Piedmont Newspaper published daily at Greenville,
South Carolina, indicated that two men and two women were
taken -in tow by Navy Police and by guard personnel as they
paddled around in the Cooper River on October 16, 1972, while
the USS Bordelon was preparing to sail for Southeast Asia,
Yt was noted that these individuals were anti-war protestors
who were attempting to set up a "blockade" ipan effort to a
prevent the destroyer from sailing for Vietefam. al

has been assigned to the Rock Hi Catholic Diocese,
434 Charlotte Avenue, Rock Hill, Scuth Carolina, since the
middle of October, 1972, and planned to reside and work
there permanently.
