The "Chicago Daily News’ issue of May 9, 1972 reflected that anti-war demonstrators were on the Eisennower Expressway in Chicago on May 9, 1972. It was stated that five autos were used to block off Loop bound traffic in all but one lane of the Eisenhower Expressway just past the United States Post Office at the height of the morning rush hour.
