"The New York Times", City Editien, Tuesday, April 20, 1965, page 27,
reported that a new party of "revclutionary Socialism" was formally founded on
April 18, 1965, under the nawe of the PLP. The PLP was described as an out-
growth of the PIM. Its officers were identified as Milton Rosen, New York,
President, anc Willias Epton of New York and Mort Scheer of San Francisco, Vice
Presidents. A 20-mexber National Committee was elected to direct the Party
until the next ccnvention.
According to the article, "The Progressive Labor Movement was founded
in 1962 by Mr. Rosen and Mr. Scheer after they were expelled from the Communist
Party, USs, for assertedly following the Chinese Comaunist line."
