Here, agents looked through the murder file of "Biggie Smalls" looking for any pictures of interest, in parti a pictur C__]tha icked out of a six-pack as bein were copied and obtained by agents, but not this particular on Several pictures Note: Copies of these pictures were placed in a 1A envelope and made part of the main case file. The original colored copies are being maintained by agents. Agents askeq__]f pe ever showing this picture td __|vho statedhe was bé6é shown this picture by LAPD dvised he cannot recall ever seeing such a picture. b7c Prior to the agents viewing th rde ked iffhe could ask a few questions. He asked if the FBI has a sourc id shoot "Biggie Smalls". Agents stated the FBI does have a source who has told them this happened, whict{___ tated this is the first he has heard of this and would really like to interview this FBI source if allowed b7D to, possibly sometime in the future. Agents advise ision would be made by their superiors and that this request would be passed along. Also elterated to agents that the LAPD has allowed the FBI full access to their case file and wanted to know if the FBI had enough evidence at this time to make their case as advised that the evidence needed to make this a civil rights/public corruption case is much higher than a straight murder case. Determining who shot "Biggie Smalls" is a big part of the case, but who helped orchestrate it is what the FBI is looking at to see if their was a civil rights violation by a public official. asked if the FBI can make the case as a murder but not a civil rights/public corruption c happens since the FBI does not investigate/prosecute straight murders. Agents avis] some of their options could be to take the case to the DA's office or pass it along to the LAPD to file and prosecute.
