Weglian advised that paragraph number 5 in the amended subpoena is too broad, and he will contact Attorney Kevin T. Boise, who is handling subpoena to eliminate this paragraph. Furthermore, the Bureau should not attempt at this time, to process request of paragraph number 5. In addition, a subpoena has been issued to obtain information from files of F.D.I.C., and a subpoena is expected to be issued to the Department, Organized Crime Section. On February 24, 1977, Departmental Attorney, Benjamin C. Flannagan requested during course of file review for subpoenaed material that documents generated by F.D.I.C. and organized Crime Section of the Department be segregated. RECOMMENDATION: - 1.
