F'b-350 (Rev. 7-16-63) Case Brought Back fo L.A. Patricia (Katie) Kren- winkel, a principal defen- dant in the Tate-La Bian- ca slayings, was returned to Los Angeles Friday to face seven murder char- ges. Miss Krenwinkel, 22, es- corted without handcuffs by Det. Sgt. William Ca- rey, stared straight ahead and said nothing, while holding her long brown hair back from her face with her right hand as she ; deplaned at International Airport. It was 12 weeks ago that Miss Krenwinkel, daught- er of an Inglewood insur- ance agent, was arrested in Mobile, Ala, on a fugitive murder warrant. She unsuccessfully fought extradition and on Friday was flown from Mobile to Los Angeles. Inspector Peter Hagan said Miss Krenwinkel was jailed at Sybil Brand Insti- tute. Five defendants now are in custody here. The sixth, Charles. D.
