By letter dated April 13, 1941 Mr. Harry L,’ Hopkins sub- mitted to the At.omey General an anonymous letter which was addressed * to him and postmarked Cincinnati, Ohio. This letter was submitted by the Attorney General to the Bureau for appropriate examination in the Technical Laboraiory. The evidence was received in the Laborsetory on April 19, 1%1 for document examination. The criginal evidence submitted is listed on the attached sheet. Specimen Qi is a white bond envelope bearing one cancelled 3 cent Thomas Jefferson postaze stamp. The address on Ql has been Written on a typerriter. Qi measures 9.50 inches in length by 4.28 inches in width by 0.0043 inches in thickness, weighs 5.770 grams and contains no watermark. ‘ Spacimen Q2 is a white sheet of onion skin paper bearing < - @ message that has been written on a typewriter. Specimen Q@ measures 10.98 inches in length by 8.50 inches in width by 0.0020 inches in thickness, weighs 1.830 grams and contains no watermark. Specimens Q3 throueh Q9 are white sheets of onion skin paper « and all bear a message that has been written on a typewriter.
