He said at the time the NFWA picketed the CSO Convention, CHAVEZ proclaimed the CSO was controlled by city dwellers who were not interested in the problems of the farm workers. said since that time he has talked to CHA occasions and he has found him to be a ver leasant, soft-spoken, and educated man. cerwrracmsurthttes out that CHAVEZ claims to have had a formal education only through the eighth grade, but he went on to say that CHAVEZ is well read and knowledgeable in the field of organizing farm laborers. a ee he does not know CHAVEZ well enoug to comment on his character, associates, mben bn +i + a ae reputation, or morals.
