At one time Galante was employed by the O'Brien
Pish Company, 105 South Street, New York City, and the
Lubin Artificial Flower Company, 270 West Broadway, New York
City. In 1941, he joined the International Longshoremen' s
Association and worked as a stevedore. He was also employed
at one time as a handy man for the General Electro Plating
Company and as a helper for the Knickerbocker Trucking
Company. In the late 1940's, his employment was believed
to be in a pastry shop at 13 Prince Street, New York City
