NY 92-911 CONHDBR AL On June 3, 1959, considerable e publicity appeared in the New York press concerning the arrest of CARMINE GALANTE by the Federal Bureau’ of Narcotics. A summation of these various newspaper articles is as follows: The Federal Bureau of Narcotics claimed they had received information that GALANTE was residing at 212 North Sunset Drive, Pelican Island, New Jersey. Narcotics Agents surveilled a vehicle leaving this resi- dence on the night of June 2, 1959. By prearrangement, this car was stopped by the New Jersey State Police the ante 1 allen along the Garden State Parkway near Holmdel, New Jersey. One of the occupants of this vehicle was identified as the subject, CARMINE GALANTE, at which time he was taken into custody. The other two men riding with GALANTE were ldentified as ANGELO PRESENZANO of,53 South Tenth Street, Brooklyn, New York, and ANTHONY CALUSO, age Kiecd 4h, of 724 Sixth Avenue, New York City.
