According lo “Suet. the name of this thitd party is a British subject narned Philby, who was formerly connected with the British Government in this country. py! 1 adviscd 4m that he apparently was on the trail os some very hot information but cautioned him that in the White Paper which had just been released by the British Government there was no mention of Phitby's name, apparently becnuse of lack of direct proof agrinst Philby and the fect that Philby wes in contact with lawyers and threatening heavy libel suits if any paper prints his name in coanection with this matter. 1 told methat he should caution hia friend regarding the possibility of libel action unless he can pet a release on the whole story because otherwise he can become involved in legal difficulties.
