This letter was contained in an envelope of the Sporteman's Hotel, Tulelake, California, in which town the letter was 8 — postmarked 6/17 2/51. This note states: Division, State Department, may have had affiliation with GOR SOESS British-Russian spy. Following this statement is a purported descriptio GESS and the address of MED as having beon care > Cairo, Egypt. The note suggests that this Bureau investigaté at concerning any leakage of atomic information in 1913 or 19k wis Caire, and suggested check with British Military Intelligence on GUY BURGESS. The note closed with the statement: "Stand by for additional data." The note is printed by hand. "There is possibility that, oraien Economic This data is furnisbed the Bureau and the Washington Meld Office as of possible interest.
