DONALD DUART MACLEAN (MACLEAN was preceded by RBG nnd succeeded by “AOPQRURM who in turn Was succeaded by Mwho is presently serving as the United Fingdon Secretary to the Combined Policy Committee } ( i S --— ce ynpere AE that after the Combined Policy Committee hed been ¢stablished for approximately one year, former Fresident ROOSEVELT and former Prime Kinister CHURCHILL established the Combined Development Trust, now known as the Combined Development Agency. He steted that the purpose of this trust was to locate throughout the world eources of thorium and uranium, which materials are used in the production of the Atomic Bomb. In addition to the location of these materials, the Combined Develicpment Agency is also charged with the responsibility of securing control of uranium and thorium ceposits wherever they are located. The Combined Development Agency is considered to be the operating arm of the Combined Policy Gommittee which latter agency decices what action should be taken on the basis of information eupplied by the Combined Development Agency. < 2 asamegMMs advised that the Combined Development Agency is - = 59-
