At this conference the discussions were limited to the atomic energy information held in common by the United States, Canada and England during the ware He said also that this conference included a discussion of atomic weapons. He pointed out that another United Kingdom representative at this declassification conferencpgm) was KLAUS FUCHS, confessed Sovict espionage agent. Nd emp declared that he never knew DONALD MAC LEAN very woll, although he met him occasionally at cocktail partics in Washington, D.C. He did recall attending a farewell party for DON.LD M,C LEAN in the latter's home in Washington, D.C. at a time that he places as the summer of 191.8. He said thet approximately hO or 50 people were present at this farewell party. (HP APE advised that he had never had any discussions or "bull sessions" with DONALD MAC IBAN, and had no knowledge of MAC LEAN'S political inclinations.
