Ostholthoff was contacted at the San Francisco Division is: sm and he advised that he had just hed a conference with the CPA officials. The CPA officials made available a copy of the transcript of the minutes of the hearing held in connection with the construction of the Flamingo Hotel. They stated that everything in their files was contained in the transcript except the plans for the Flamingo Hotel which were in the possession of one of their investigators handling the matter at the present time at Las Vegas. Wr. Ostholthoff advised he was to have a further conference with the CPA officials and would endeavor to obtain from them an opportunity of reviewing the complete file in the case. Mr. Ostholthoff was advised that arrangements had been made with the CPA officiels in Washington so that complete cooperation would be efforded and that it was not to be limited to merely making available the transeript of the hearing. Mr. Osthol- thoff will contact the Bureau in the event any difficulties are encountered in obtaining access to the complete file. He stated that apparently they were not available at San Francisco but that the serial photographs obtained by the Bureau of the Flamingo Hotel would probably be adequate for Bureau purposes. pre be 1 TECHNICALS AT LAS VEGAS Mr. Ostholthoff's attention was called to the fact that no memorenda bad been received at the Bureau concerning the aifficulty which occurred on the technical installation at Las Vegas on August 22, 1946. Mr. Ostholthoff advised that he had arranged to have the memoranda prepared by the Agents submitted to hin at Los Anzeles and that he had not as yet had an opportunity of reviewing same and submitting them, together with his recomsendations, to the Bureau.
