August 3, 1933.
Special Agent in Charge,
United States Bureau of Investigation,
Post Office Building,
Dallas, Texas.
Dear Sir:
Reference is made to the case entitled CLYDE CHAMPION
BARROW, with aliases, et al, National Motor Vehicle Theft Act.
A review of the Bureau file in this case indicates that a
complaint was filed at Dallas, Texas, on May 20, 1933, charging
Clyde Champion Barrow and Mrs. Roy Harding, nee Bonnie Parker,
with having on or about September 16, 1932, transported in
interstete commerce, from Dallas, Texas, to a point at or near
Pawhuska, Oklahoma, a Ford coupe, property of Dr. E. L. Damron
of Effingham, Illinois, knowing the same to have been stolen.
4 review of this file reflects further that Clyde Champion
Barrow and Bonnie Parker are implicated in a number of kidnapings
and murders.
It is requested that you advise the Bureau whether
identification orders should be issued for these individuals at
the present time. This matter should be given immediate attention.
Very truly yours,
