-2- Agent met Mr. Clearman in a cafe in Sayre by accident and was invited bo Clearman's office, where Agent spent an hour or more in conversation with Mr. Clearman, Clearman opening the discussion relative to the Barrow brothers and the recent massacre at Kansas City, Missouri on the morning of June 17, 1953. It was svicent that Mr. Clearman was desirous of securing any information he could from Agent, particularly in regard to the Barrow brothers, stating thet the time the Barrow brothers were alleged to have released the Texas Sheriff near Sayre that & number of citizens formed a posse and went up the river searching for them. Mr. Clearman stated, however, that he did not go with them and did not let them even borrow his rifle. Agent did not intimte to Clearman that he was interested in the Barrow brothers other than general newspaper interest. Agent, for the purpose of observing the premises and noting anything of interest, drove to the home of George Livingston, but did not find him at home, Agent then drove to the home of Col. Bert Livingston and under pretext mide some inguiries of « woman, presumably Bert Livingston's wife, but everything ap- peared to be quiet and peaceful. Nothing was observed that would indicate that this place was being used as « hideout as noted in the above reference report, UNDEVELOPED LEAD: ORLAHOMA CITY OFFICE will continue this investigetion at Van Buren, Arkansas as noted in report of Special Agent G. H. Franklin, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, July 10, 1933, PENDING»
