“rhe Daily Tar Heel a student newspaper of the
University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill, North Carolina,
in its issue of November 8, 1970, contained an article under
the caption, “Revolutionaries Meet Monday," which article sets
forth that an organizational meeting to interest students and
Chapel Hill residents in attending the RPCC will be held at
9 P.M., Monday in Room 202 of the Carolina Union. The article
states the meeting is sponsored by the Radical Coalition which
is composed of the New University Conference, Students for
a Democratic Society and the Young Socialist Alliance, with
the meeting called by JOHN? former graduate student
advised that at Winston-
Salem, North Carolina, the members of the Black Panther Party
group are going out in the streets trying to sign up people
to attend the RPCC, and at the present time approximately 250 _
people have indicated an interest. The BPP members are
advising everyone that all expenses will be paid, however, |
ad no information that the BPP group had either money
or transportation arranged for these individuals.
On November 12, 1970, GEES «porte that on
November 9, 1970, a meeting was held at the Student Union at
UNC, Chapel Hill,North Carolina. Seventy-five to 100 people
were present with only about 20 in attendance being black.
CLINT, PYNE.was iv charge of the meeting and identified himself
as a White Panther Party (WPP) member. PYNE stated that he and
JOHN ‘(LAST NAME UNKNOWN) had been to Cuba within the past year
to cut sugar cane. Most of the discussion at this meeting.
consisted of plans of the students to go to the RPCC to be
held in Washington, D. C. It was mentioned that there would
possibly be two bus loads from Chapel Hill who would travel
