Four at a public park in High Point, nN. C., on 7/25/71. The announced intent was to gain moral ad financial support for the High Point Four who are four young blacks who were arrested at BPP Headquarters following a shoot-out when the High Point police evicted them. Approximately 200 people attended the rally and donations were nominal. ¥ ® B. FOREIGN SOURCES None reported. C. EXPENSES Half the price of the newspapers or $875 would be owed to the California Headquarters of the BPP, in addition to 1306-A Underwood Avenue, one of the current pads used by the BPP. The new BPP Headquarters at 1333 North Patterson Avé. was purchased under a lease purchase agreement with a $500 down payment and monthly rental of $100 per month to be applied to the purchase price of the house.
