The purpose of this BPP is to enable Biacks to obtain ereater economic leverare and more power in the Lumberton, North Carolina, area. This organization became defunct in the Summer of ee ae, 1974. The BPP with headquarters in Oakland, California, te has the publicly stated purpose of organizing hlack people to take control of the life, politics and destiny of the black cormunity.
