The Survival Program was held at Oak and 10% Streets, Winston-Salem, N. C., one of the poorest neighborhoods in Winston-Salem, and the former residence of LARRY LITTLE. Funds and groceries for the rally were obtained through donations to the BPP. The Free Clothing Program is still functioning in a somewhat sporadic manner, as is the Free Pest Control Program. However, the Free Breakfast for Children Program has not as yet resumed operation, although indications were that it would resume at the start of the school term in the fall. The George Jackson Liberation School continues to operate each Saturday afternoon and is attended by approximately eight school age children, who receive free lunches prior to class. The BPP Chapter continues to promote its image of community service and has avoided any confrontations or displays of violence.
