On 7/30/72, the BPP sponsored a community survival rally in the parking lot of the Kimberly Housing Project, a predominantly black public housing project in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. HAZEL MAE MACK, BPP Communications Secretary, acted as master of ceremonies for this affair. LARRY LITTLE, head of the BPP Chapter, and Mrs. LEE FAYE MACK spoke to an assembled group of approximately 2,000 people. Both LITTLE and MACK stressed that the BPP was now a political organization and LITTLE announced that he planned to run for political office. i a CoS ARRESTS AND CONVICTIONS None.
