Dear Sir:
Reference is made to the report of Special Agent
dated March 14, 1945 at Philadelphia concerning the
above captioned subject.
In reference report a lead was set out for this
office among others to check the records of the Tani gration &
Naturalization Service at the ports of entry which they cover
in order to ascertain whether or not the subject was in the Unite,
States in 19386. Keference report indicated subject my have
entered the United States for a visit or as a seammn and the only
record of arrival and departure would be at the port of entry.

Special Agent of thie office that all records
of arrivals and departures Of visiters or seamen at Mex Jersey ports
are maintained in the New York Office of Immigration & Naturalization.
Inasmuch as the New York Pield Division has been
asked in reference report to check the records of the Immigration
& Maturalisation Service there, this case is being considered
referred upon completion to the office of origin by the, emark
Field Division. . ‘
