Following the Bureau's suggestion, the second installment paid this informant in December, 1944, was according to the original agreed amount, that payment consisting of $1,000. ‘The relationship with this informant has apparently not been impaired by this attempt to reduce their payments. However, the question whether this office should make up the amounts paid during that period when the sum to be paid them was being decided has not been settled; that is, it is undecided whether this office should pay the infomant $750, representing the difference between $1,500 and $2,000 during November, 1944, end $1,750 and $2,000 during December, 1944.
