Training PURPOSE: To request that a Physical Science Technician from the Microscopic Analysis Unit (MAU) be allowed to travel to Atlanta, Georgia, and assist SA in the preparation of physical evidence in the above referenced case, DETAILS: SA as : in Atlanta assisting the Georgia Crime Laboratory in examining and preparation of evidence that has been collected during the investigation of this case. He has advised that there is a very urgent need for a Physical Science Technician to assist in the examination of debris that has been collected during the investigations of this case, but has never been subjected to laboratory examinations. S as requested that the technician be made available for a two week period . (maximum) and that there may be overtime involved (approximately 2 hours/day) for the technician. It is noted that even though overtime is involved, the over- all cost should be less than having additional per diem for the technician. Physical Science Technician is available for this assignment and is competent to assist SA 1s case. If approved, he will depart Washington, D. C., on 8 RECOMMENDATIONS: ro / - 1.
