of full cooperation between FBI and BOP, not only in the investigation of prison gang
offenses, but the full dissemination of any and all gang related information regarding
these offenses, This dissemination can facilitate, not only the criminal act under
investigation, but also the potential impact of these isolated criminal acts on an
overall RICO effort against the entire organization.
Throughout the meeting, BOP voiced full willingness and eager cooperation in
assisting and joining in the FBI's efforts to address the prison gang preblems. This
joint cooperation can greatly aid in the investigations of CGR type cases as well
as provide timely intelligence information from BOP as to prison gang activities
within BOP and anticipated release of identified gang members on parole to a given
region.
These two meetings, AB Strategy meeting and BOP Gang Activity meeting, were
highly beneficial for both the Organized Crime Section and the Personal Crimes Section
as to identified programs within each section. The established direction and mutual
areas of concern will be closely coordinated between all effected substantive desk
supervisors.
