The files of the Maritime Administration at Washington,
DCs, reflected that by letter dated April 27, 1951, H, 0. BECKER,
Assistant Treasurer, Victory Carricrs, Inc., forwarded a Balance
Sheet of Victory Carricrs, Ince as at December 31, 1950, to the
Maritime Administration, Washington, D.C. There was attached to
instant statement an affidavit oxecuted by BECKER on April 26,
1951, In this affidavit BECKER stated that he has carefully
gxamined instant Balance Shect and bolicves it to be a true
and correct statement of the financial condition,

December 31, 1950, Victory Carriors, Inc. had a cash balance of
$1, 2h, 360. 31,
BECKER oxamined the filles of Victory Carriers, Ince
with negative results in an effort to locate the aforomentioned
Batance Sheet. However, he did locate two Balance Sheets as at
Decombor 31, 1950, both of which show a cash balance of
$1,830, 360.31e SECKER ndvisod that those Balance Sheets were
forwarded to tho law firm of GOODWIN, ROSENBAUM & MEACHAM,
presumbly to bo forwarded to the Muritime Administration,
One of these Balnanco Sheots is certifiod by ROBERT L. BERENSON,
Presidont, and the other Balanco Sheot is certifiod by H. 0..
