It was necessary that ONASSTS obtain the OLYMPIC TORCH, a foreign flag vossel, to fulfil an aprcement he had made with the Anglo-Saxon Oil Companye Socony was satisfied with the substitution as it adde d greater flexibllity to their flect and as the market for a 28,000 ton vessel was very poor.
