It was necessary that ONASSTS obtain the OLYMPIC TORCH, a foreign flag vossel, to fulfil an aprcement he had made with the Anglo-Saxon Oil Companye Socony was satisfied with the substitution as it adde d greater flexibllity to their flect and as the market for a 28,000 ton vessel was very poor. Socony did not benefi was cancel t from a rate standpoint on this substitution. As previously reported the OLYMPIC TORCH time charter ed and the vessel was re-delivored on August 3, 1951. The T-2 tankers, LiKE GHORGE and WILLIAM A. M. BURDEN, were _ the substi chartered tuted vessels, The charters and relatcd papers of the vessels. by Socony from the ONASSIS-KONIALTDIS group are being incorporated as Enclosure numbor 6. .
