Details: On 07/12/2008, the FBI Washington Field Office conducted_a_ search of the residence of Bruce Edward Ivins, _] Frederick, Maryland. During the search, investigators recovered one (1) plastic container containing a powder material. The container was labeled "Alliant Powder 2400, smokeless magnum handgun powder" SABT [opened the container and determined that the container was not sealed. The container was approximately 3/4 full of the powder material. The material was grey/black in color. It is requested that the FBI Laboratory Explosives Unit conduct a physical and chemical analysis of the powder to confirm the identity of the material as well as measure the quantity of the substance.
