Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID),
Porter Street, Frederick, Maryland. After being advised of the
identity of the agents and the purpose of the interview,
provided the following information:

Federal Grand Jury appearance, during whic was asked to review
records pertaining to two studies[___] conducted using Bacillus
anthracis (Ba) spores obtained from BRUCE IVINS. In a previous
interview regarding these two studies (279A-WF-222936-USAMRIID
Serial 1472) [| stated that any Ba spores not consumed during
the aerosol exposures would have been_destroyed. During this
records review[L_ discovered that[___]did receive a tube of
unused spore stock from the aerobiolo technicians after a
- exposure for study number[ aliquoted this
sample into 25 300ul tubes and froze the aliquots. All of the
samples produced during this study were coded and stored in[__]
laboratory for future use_as_ unknown samples in assay
development. Therefore, only[___]knew that these samples were Ba
Ames spores. provided a copy of the "Spore Preparation Form"
which IVINS completed when the spore suspension was prepared and
provided to the aerobiology group prior to the exposure. This
spore preparation form indicates that the spores used in this study
were "B. anthracis Ames, RMR 1029, in 1% phenol."
