On October 7, 1955, was observed by agents of the
FBI entering the AFSC meeting house located at 20 South l2th Street, Phila-
delphia, at approximately 7:30 Pe Mey Where he remained for approximately
24 hours, ‘ a
jhe October 16, 1955 issus of "Penna. Edition The Forker," Page
15, Colunn 3, contained en article concerning Non-Commumist meetings which
_ Were’ addressed by spokesmen for the Communist Party. The article noted that
on October 7, a discussion group under the auspices of the AFSC was addressed
by HLRRY WILLIAMS "of the Education Department of the Commmist Party here."
Acgarding to the article, about 50 young pecpls were present. The article
also noted that a Speakers Bureau had been set up by the Communist Party of
Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware, and that speakers would be furnished for
meetings within the Philadelphia area. — .

daily newspaper, final city edition, page 1, column 1, carried an article
concerning the appearance in an impromptu debate of two Cammunists before a
# class of the University of Pennsylvania on May 2, 1955. according to this
article, HARRY WILLIAMS who described himself as a member of the Educational
Camittee of the Commmist Party in philadelphia, wag one of those spealers,
