It is not a committee of any Yearly Neeting or all Yearly Meetings. It is only one of the channels through Which FPricndés! concerns are exoressed. it seeks to be alert to the concerns of Meetings aes well as individuals, but it does net presume to be en organ of such Meetings. It should make clear and oublic pronouncements that it sverks only for itself." some 4 Goncerning the above~ noted item, {9 advised that the reason fér the ebove stetement is due té the fact that some dicsensicn seems to heve arisen among various Yearly Meetings concerning the *FSC. A” number of the Yearly Meetings feel that the general public regards the “FSC as one of the officiel organs of the religious Society of Friends and the actions of AFSC as actions of all Friends. The informant stated that this.,is not the fact and thet ‘the /FSC does not speak for all Yeurly Meetings, but, in fact, each Yeerly Meeting sveaks for itsclf. fccording to the informant , the 4FSC wishes, through the above stetenent, to make it clear that it is not acting on behalf of all the Yearly Meetings end, in fact, eny Yearly Meeting, and thet its policies and actions are entir ely its own.
