W.E.B. DU BOIS CLUBS OF AMERICA
to defeat these reactionary and neo-fascist elements and to
achieve complete freedom and democracy for all Americas,
thus enabling each individual to freely choose end build
the society he would wish to live in. Through these struggles
we feel the American people will realize the viability of
the socialist alternatives."
The constitution further states that this new
organization shall be a membership organization open to
individuals, or if five or more people so deSire a chapter
can be formed which shall in turn be guided by the policies
and principles of the parent organization.
The second source has also advised that at the
‘founding .convention it was voted that the organization should
be temporarily headquartered in San Francisco, . California,
although no specific physical location was decided upon.
This same source advised on June 29, 1964, that the temporary —
headquarters of this organization is 1007 Mc Allister Street,
San Francisco, which is the headquarters of the W.E.B.
DuBois Club of San Francisco.
Both- sources have advised that at the “fcunding
convention two officers were elected:
