The source further -advised that ©) IP s:ated that the Quakers censistently work with the Party privately but not publicly. --- - The Social Service Directorv for Metropolitan Chicago, issue of 1958, published hy the Welfare Ceuncil of Metropolitan Chicago, describes the AFSC as having been established in 1917 and as representing the Religicus Society of Friends (Quakers) in fields cf social acticn. The regicenal office jn Chicago furthers the work cf the national committee in vrometing inter- national, industrial und interracial understandin,". Local activities include assastance fer programs of minvrities, a peace edicaticn pregram, cperatiocn of interracial werk carps and similar service units in State institutions. On n April 25, 1962. . _—, Soren : advised that a. North Side Peace Walk began at Glenview Naval Air Station; Glenviéw, Illinois, on April 20, 1962. The walk proczeded via Evanstcn, Illinois, where it remained on the evening of April 20, 1962.
