is not feasible for the Government to undertake the procram, but this in
no way detracts from the desirability of such an accomplishment."
On Kay 26, 1942, the Philadelphia Office received from the
Huntington Field Nivision a teletype advising that ATR
CTS and AOE, salleged officers in the American Friends
Service Committee, are residing in Cacepon Stete Park, Berkeley Sorings,
West Virginia, and are receiving rail containing seditious statements
ageinst the United States and criticism of the treatment of Japanese in
evacuation from the Facific Coast. It was alleged further that the Com-
mittee is supposed to be active in securing release of Japanese students
from internment camps in order to continue their studies at American uni-
versities.
‘It was elleged further that the Committee is believed to be
active in urging young, people to register as conscientious objesters and
te solicit for volunteers for peace service serinars. The Huntington
Field Division requested that information also be furnished concerning

the Committee and peace seminars.
