At approximately 5:30 p.m. each day he would walk through the main cell house and take an inmate count, during which count all of the inmates were required to stand at their respective cell doors. After con- ducting this inmate count, he would distribute mail, medicine and razor blades to the various inmates. At approximately 6:30 p.m. he would pasa out cigarettes to the inmates.
