and were not bradded. He thus believed that this type of
bolt could be loosened and, therefore, since this was a type on
a lid covering the ventilator o the roof, they would be
able to remove that lid. Ae painting near the Barber
Shop he grabbed some electric barber clippers, placed them in a
plastic bag and droppeé them into his paint bucket, He renoved
them later the same day and secreted them in his cell, About
that time, one of thew was able to obtai n 6rili
bits, the source of which was un‘mown t hen set
up the motor of the barber clippers so that could be used
with the aid of the drill bits as a drill. MORRIS and one of
the ANGLIN brothers tried to use this aa a drill in removing
the bolts o?7 the lid covering the ventilator to the roof. They
said the motor was too small and would not do the job. About
time the vacuvm cleaner in the celi area broke down and
ad a chance to examine it to see if it could be repaired.

motors out and then he wired the other motor up so that it would

On the day he obtained the motor from the vacuun
cleaner, one of the inmates was hit over the head by another
inmate in the kitchen area and during the confusion he was able
to smuggle the motor to his cell without anyone noticing hin.
This motor was given to MORRIS anc the ANGLIis, and they toox
it to the roof to use as a drill. They said that it made too
much noise and they could not use it much. They were finaily
able to loosen the tapins in the lid covering the ventilator
to the roofing. After getting them out, they replaced them so
they could be easily removed, Some time before this, CLARENCE
GLIN made a dummy head out of cement which was to be used by
Og en, and if, he le2t his cell and which was to be stored
on top of the cell block near the roof.
About the first part of May, 1962, obtained an
olive colored rubberized raincoat from one of e inmates who
was transferred from this inatitution and, over the next few day
obtained a couple more of such raincoats, In addition, over
