These paddles were stored up on top of the cell block and inside the ventilator pipe. a . e : . He said that the bars below it were out of the way and he felt that they would get that off by 9:30 P, M. He left and Went up to the roof. Shortly there- after I heard some noises and I started making noise to cover it up so nd oné-woult-notice it. At 0:52 P.M, that date. Clarence Anglin tapped on my ventilator and said that Sid see the Hoon. I tried to kick the rest of the cement out o e hole a @ back of my Gell. I Gould not do it. He tried to help for a minute or so but couldn't do anything. He then went up and got Morris. Morris_came down and put the dummy in his bed. The lights were out at 9:30 P. M. and Morris went wp to the roof and got a 2 inch piece of pipe and handed it to me. I tried to push it out but couldn't do it without making too much noise. Morris Tert to go ' get Clarence Anglin to help clear out my hole. This happened at 9:37 P. M. that evéning. This is the last I heard or saw of then. As there was no dummy head for my bed 1 coutdn'y leave my cel until after the 3:00 A. M. count, et=that—biney es thet Toone deo . rend tad, threwgh, " At ab .
