of the "Association of Internes and Medien} Studjents -- Com-
mittee on Academic Freedom and Civil Liberties" signed hy
Marvin Hirsch, Chairman. The following is quoted from this
news letter:
"The 1947 national Convention of AIMS estsilished
a national Comrittee cn Academic Freedom, Civil Tiberties and
Medical Rerearch. It is the intent of this comrittee to tie
up national ond charter activit ies on these quecticns ane we

"The cese of Dr. Edward Condon, Birester ci the
National Bureau of Standards is best knewn: Dr. Uerloy Shepley
dean of ovr Artronomers and past. President of the A.A.A.S.

have protested the latter action. The American Commithee of
