(Meeting of the American Committee of Jewish Artists, Writers and Seientists, Inc.) According to informant there were about 10 thousand persons present, and Rathi Stephen S. Wise acted as chairman for the meeting. Informant advised that Albert Einstein was +o be the main speaker of the evening but sent his message by telephone from Princeton, New Jersey and it was read to the audience by Sam Jaffee. Einstein's message stated that the "Black Book" was intended as an indictment of a nation (Germany) which performed such bestislity against the people, and that the in- Gictment of the Nazi criminals should serve as an example tc the rest of the world what happens to a nation that ignores justice and humanity and leads to militarism.
