Emergency Committee of atomic Sctantists (date net stated).
This zroup, headed by Or. Albert Winstein, was opening a cam-
paizgn for £1, 0cc, 090 for the purpose of educating the public to
the reaiivation of the peril of atomic bombs and to the fact that
the only solution was an iInternstional atomic authority and
ultimately the elimination of war. br. Binstein wes named as
President of the committee. The campaign was launched formally
with a press conference and radio sppeals by Drs. Einsten and
Urey and later a luncheon attended by invited cuests from all
sections of the country. The Committee «as to maintain tis min
office at 9C Nassau Street, Frineston, Nev ersey.
