The Yiddisher Kultur Farband was cited as subversive and Communist by Attorney General TOM CLARK in his letter to the Loyalty Review Board 7/25/ 49. The Jewish Peoples Fraternal Order of the I:0 has been cited iby. the — Attorney General as coming within the purview or Executive Order 98356 The Morgen (Morning) Freitheit, which is published by the Morgen Freitheit Association, was cited by the Special Committee on Un-American Activities in the report of 3/29/44, page 75, as "one of the rankist organs of Commnist propaganda in the country for almost a quarter of a century." ‘ALBERT EINSTED! was a national sponsor of the Spanish Refugee Appeal of the Joint ‘nti-Fascist Refugee Committee, according to the letter- heads of that group, dated 2/26/46 and 2/3/48. According to the "Daily Yorker" of 4/8/48, page 4, he signed a petition in defense of the Joint anti-Fascist Refugee Committee. - The Joint Anti-Fascist Refugee Committee was cited by the Attorney General as coming within the purview of Executive Order 9835. The "Newark Evening News," a daily newspaper published in Newark, N, J., listed ALBERT ZINSTEIN as a sponsor of the N. J. Regional Office of the National Council of ‘merican - Soviet Friendship. This paper was dated 4/27/46. The National Council of American ~ Soviet Friendship was cited by the Attorney General as coming within the purview of Executive Order 9835. According to the ‘Philadelphia Inquirer”, a daily newspaper published in Philadelphia, Pa., dated 9/23/46, ALBERT CINSTEIN wrote a letter to President TRUMAN assailing lynching which was to be delivered to TRUHAN by a group of men headed by PAUL ROBSON, Chairman of the American Crusade to End ON NTIAL
