He stated that fermer Attorney Gener instructed the Tax Division to work up a possible tax violation case against Albert Anastasia of New York City, who was formerl connected with Murder, Incorporated. Mr. McGranery had suggested the Tax Division keep in close touch with the FBI &s possibly the Bureau in its inquiries in the waterfront investigation in New York might turn up something of interest on Anastasia which the Tax Division should know about. pa om cGranery : \ stated he was ready to submit his recommendations on the tax case now and wanted to talk to whoever in the Bureat was handling the waterfront matter insofar as Anastasia was con- Se cerned.
